Trump says he may move the 'Fake News' to a 'less obnoxious location' but denies swimming pool plan

President Donald Trump insisted on Truth Social on Saturday that he 'NEVER even thought to do such a stupid thing' as restoring the old pool. He reportedly told aides he wanted back the indoor pool installed under Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933. Richard Nixon later covered it over to build the briefing room. On September 27, Trump shared images labelled 'Fake News Before' and 'FDR Pool After'.
The White House this week stripped The Independent's Andrew Feinberg of his press pool duties.
Correspondents' chief Jacqui Heinrich accused the White House of 'retaliation' over the Feinberg decision.
A White House spokesperson said reporters who 'lie' can 'write their fiction from outside'.
