Trump says Musk has restored Ukraine's Starlink but refuses to say whether he made the call himself
Elon Musk's October 14 speed cap on Starlink left some Ukrainian strike and interceptor drones unable to connect, as Volodymyr Zelensky warned "people will die.
A senior European official insists nothing has changed, with Ukraine's military Starshield service still capped. President Donald Trump reportedly phoned Elon Musk on Wednesday, frustrated that speeds stayed throttled. Commanders blamed the cap for lost drones while Russian strikes rained down. 'Whether I called or whether somebody else called, doesn't make any difference,' Trump told reporters.
Trump had earlier denied all involvement: 'I didn't do that. No, we didn't do that at all.'
Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth now blame Musk, calling it a commercial contract matter.
Musk had posted that speed limits were decided by the military and 'ultimately POTUS'.
