Trump says the NFL 'could have probably postponed' its Paris game because France is 'really in trouble' ahead of protests
President Donald Trump blamed France's turmoil on the left and on letting in 'unlimited numbers of people' from 'very unfriendly countries'. The State Department has warned Americans going to Sunday's Steelers-Saints game at the Stade de France to avoid Saturday's planned protests. Police have already forced Paris Saint-Germain to move its Lyon match to Monday, yet the NFL insists the game is safe.
NFL chief Roger Goodell shrugged that street protests 'are not unusual in France'.
Pete Hegseth's office reportedly lost a showdown with the State Department over sending troops to the game.
Aaron Rodgers on the risk: 'If it was unsafe, then I'm sure we wouldn't be here.'
