Trump tells Iowa rally he has 'the right' to run for a third term because 'they cheated us' in 2020

President Donald Trump, 80, admitted the two-term limit leaves 'not a lot of wiggle room', saying he had 'studied that phrase forever'. Moments later he told the Sioux City crowd: 'I think I have the right to run again because they cheated.' He was stumping for Ashley Hinson's Senate bid. The 22nd Amendment bars anyone being elected president more than twice.

At the same rally, Trump branded Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed a 'jihadist'.

A Marist Poll puts Democrat Josh Turek ahead of Hinson, 48 to 45 percent.

Trump's approval has reportedly hit a record low of 32 percent in one CNN/SSRS poll.
