Trump vows to 'officially ban' the term 'artificial intelligence' in favour of 'Super Intelligence' and brands its users 'the enemy'

President Donald Trump's push to rebrand artificial intelligence has split even his own media allies, with Fox News, Newsmax and Breitbart all continuing to use the term "AI" despite his Truth Social vow to ban it "in all relevant documents, and everything else." The rebellion emerged within hours of Trump's Tuesday announcement, with Fox host Harris Faulkner using "artificial intelligence" on air less than five minutes after a watchdog report called out the network's defiance.
The renaming push traces back to Trump's September executive order directing the entire executive branch to adopt "Super Intelligence" and "SI" instead.
AI pioneer Geoffrey Hinton, dubbed "the Godfather of A.I.", says Trump understands "almost nothing" about the technology and that slapping a new label on it does nothing to increase its capabilities over human intelligence.
