'I'm working like a dog': Trump urges North Carolina to pretend he is on the ballot as midterm polls slide
President Donald Trump spoke for nearly two hours in Greenville on Tuesday night, one of the longest rallies of the cycle, and said he is doing about 18 rallies in 15 days. He brought Senate hopeful Michael Whatley on stage, though Whatley trails Democrat Roy Cooper by nearly 10 points. A Washington Post-ABC-Ipsos poll puts Trump's approval at 33 percent. Democrats lead the generic ballot by eight points.
Trump says he has spent $300 million on the midterms and will top $400 million by Election Day.
White House aides reportedly fear a firing 'rampage' if Republicans lose both chambers.
NASCAR legend Richard Petty told the crowd Trump is 'the best driver we've ever had'.
