Trump waives Russia sanctions he signed into law LAST MONTH, two days before they were due to start

Republican Senator Thom Tillis branded the order 'beyond irresponsible', accusing President Donald Trump of 'doing a solid for Vladimir Putin'. The Graham Act would have allowed tariffs of up to 500% on Russian goods and up to 100% on countries buying Russian energy, such as China and India. Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the decision unfortunate. It comes a week after Trump struck a deal for over 300,000 tons of Russian diesel.

The law is named after Senator Lindsey Graham, who died in July.

Democrat Richard Blumenthal accused Trump of 'sucking up to Vladimir Putin'.

Overnight Russian attacks killed at least four Ukrainians, including an ambulance driver.
