Trump was briefed a year ago that Nvidia boss Jensen Huang had a 'close relationship' with a suspected Chinese spy

President Trump was briefed on the intelligence about her roughly a year ago but chose not to act, reportedly unwilling to disrupt Nvidia's sales or antagonise Beijing.
Alice Huang, also known as Huang Le, a Chinese national and senior executive at Singapore-based chip firm Megaspeed, was identified by US intelligence agencies as a spy passing commercial information to Beijing while maintaining a 'close relationship' with Jensen Huang — the two were photographed together at a Taipei bar in 2024 and at a restaurant dinner in 2025.
Megaspeed is suspected of helping Chinese companies, including Alibaba, get around US export controls by buying Nvidia chips and renting computing power from Southeast Asian data centres.
Nvidia rejected the allegations, saying diversion claims against Megaspeed were 'thoroughly investigated and debunked last year' and that Jensen Huang speaks with thousands of customers annually.
Alice Huang's résumé lists positions at Chinese TV networks and global banks — but a Hunan TV executive said: 'I have not heard of her.'
