Tuchel warns Cole Palmer he is missing TOO MANY England camps as place in squad comes under threat

England manager Thomas Tuchel has gone public with doubts about Cole Palmer's commitment to the national team, saying the Chelsea forward "misses way too many camps" and is throwing away opportunities to impress him. Palmer was left out of England's summer World Cup squad and has pulled out of the current camp ahead of fixtures against Spain, Czech Republic and Croatia. Tuchel cautioned that competitors will step into the void, holding up captain Harry Kane as the benchmark for playing "club and country" without complaint.
Kobbie Mainoo faces a parallel selection concern — he went without a single minute of World Cup action and has also withdrawn from the current squad.
Tuchel was keen to stress his stance is not a punishment: "There is no threat, there is no distrust — it will come naturally."
A chronic groin complaint has dogged Palmer since last season, yet he has been close to ever-present for Chelsea under Xabi Alonso, sharpening questions about why he remains unavailable for England.
