Twenty-two people are killed in a Kenyan bus crash on the Mombasa road, weeks after another fatal accident nearby

The death toll may still rise, according to Makueni County Commissioner Abdullahi Khalif. Kenyan police confirmed the 22 deaths. The crash happened on the Mombasa road in Makueni County, close to where another deadly accident took place only weeks earlier.

Two deadly crashes in a matter of weeks have hit the same stretch of Kenyan highway.

Khalif warned that the number of dead could climb further.
