Showkoth Ahmed, 31, and Jahidul Hassan Jaigirdar, 34, are the men Metropolitan Police detectives want to question after a girl was led from Whitechapel Road into Weavers Fields at 11.30pm on 1 August 2024, raped, and left to be found by a passer-by. Both are Bangladeshi nationals with links to Tower Hamlets, and both are thought to have fled after a public appeal was made in September 2024, just weeks after the attack.

Crimestoppers regional manager Alexa Loukas described the assault on the girl as 'a horrific and traumatic attack.'

A £10,000 reward is available to anyone with information, via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Met Detective Chief Inspector Anna Deighton says information received 'has helped progress our investigation' toward naming the pair.
