Harris Dickinson, 30, and Nicholas Hoult, 36, have been eliminated from contention for the fourth and final spot in the Bond screen tests, with Dickinson tied up filming the Beatles biopic and Hoult deep in post-production on the Superman sequel 'Man of Tomorrow'. The three confirmed finalists — Jack Lowden, Callum Turner and Josh O'Connor — completed auditions at Bray Studios over the weekend, with Amazon MGM Studios yet to make any official announcement.

Fans have flooded social media naming Joe Alwyn, 35, as the mystery fourth candidate, citing his close ties to casting director Nina Gold.

Relatively unknown actor Jack Barton, 31, best known for Netflix drama 'Heartstopper', is also widely tipped as the secret fourth contender.

'Slow Horses' co-star Gary Oldman has stoked speculation by claiming Lowden has already been chosen and the public will find out soon.
