Two more NHS staff are suspended over claims they accessed Southport attack victims' 'medical records', after nearly 50 others did

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital has suspended two staff members after a retrospective audit found they may have accessed Southport stabbing victims' medical records without legitimate reason. The cases have been reported to the Information Commissioner's Office and the Care Quality Commission. The latest suspensions bring the total number of NHS staff under investigation across multiple trusts to more than 50.
A separate probe is also under way at North West Ambulance Service Trust over unauthorised access to the same victims' files.
Survivor Leanne Lucas, who was helping run the Taylor Swift-themed dance class when Axel Rudakubana killed Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice Da Silva Aguiar, says she feels 'violated' by 'morbid curiosity'.
Medical director Manoj Kuduvalli said: 'Any inappropriate access to those records is a serious violation of that trust.'
