Two MORE NHS staff are suspended over 'inappropriate' access to Southport attack victims' medical records at a Liverpool hospital

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, based at Broadgreen Hospital, has confirmed that two members of its workforce are under precautionary suspension following a retrospective audit that identified potential data breaches. Both the Information Commissioner's Office and the Care Quality Commission have been notified. Medical director Manoj Kuduvalli said the trust is "deeply sorry" and that any unauthorised access is "a serious violation of that trust."
The new cases deepen a growing scandal: nearly 50 staff at University Hospitals of Liverpool Group's Aintree Hospital were found to have improperly viewed survivors' files in May.
North West Ambulance Service Trust is also facing a separate investigation into staff who accessed victims' records without authorisation.
Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Da Silva Aguiar, nine, were killed by Axel Rudakubana at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class at Hart Space in July 2024.
