Two NHS ambulance workers are investigated over claims they accessed medical records of a man mauled to death by a tiger
William Chapman, the former child actor killed by a tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, whose family said he had suffered 'significant mental illness over a number of years' and had been prescribed 'strong medication.'
The suspected breaches were flagged by Yorkshire Ambulance Service's own audits and have been reported to the Information Commissioner's Office. William Chapman, 24, died on 10 October after scaling two fences into the Land of the Tigers enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster. His family has been told about the probe. His inquest has been adjourned until 18 March.
Chapman had schizophrenia, and his family raised concerns about his mental health care.
The park reopened on Friday, with Altai, the 200kg Siberian tiger, back on show.
Zookeepers fired five loud gun blasts trying to drive Altai away from Chapman.
