Two teenagers are arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after five boys are stabbed at a gatecrashed Hampshire Halloween party
Park Road in Chandler's Ford, where cordons also extended to Valley Road on Sunday afternoon as Hampshire Police appealed on reference number 44260534624 for party guests who had not yet spoken to officers.
The party's address was posted on Snapchat, attracting around 70 uninvited guests to a supervised birthday celebration at an £800,000 property on Park Road, Chandler's Ford. A group of males then climbed the garden fence and stabbed five sixth-form boys, with the violence spilling into surrounding streets. One 17-year-old victim remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital, and a second boy is still seriously injured.
Witnesses said the gate-crashers did not appear to know anyone at the party, describing the attack as sudden and unprovoked.
Barton Peveril Sixth Form College wrote to parents to confirm that some of those hurt were current or former pupils and that support is being made available.
A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old, both from Southampton, are being held in police custody; officers have since been sent to schools and colleges in the area to offer reassurance.
