Uber driver who ran over vomiting passenger is cleared of murder as public gallery shouts 'No! No!'

Hayadulla Turkmani, 53, was convicted of causing death by dangerous driving after a jury at Basildon Crown Court cleared him of both murder and manslaughter. Michael Ashton, 28, a Barking and Dagenham council worker, died eight days after the crash in Langdon Hills, Essex. A neighbour told the court that the Toyota Prius dragged Ashton under the vehicle, then reversed and struck him a second time. Turkmani will be sentenced on Wednesday.
Ashton's partner Sophie Caroll had stepped away to fetch baby wipes to clean up the vomit.
Turkmani admitted swearing at Ashton but said he was 'panicked and frightened'.
Judge Samantha Cohen issued two warnings to a sobbing public gallery to remain silent.
