Ukraine sends kamikaze drones on WEATHER BALLOONS towards Moscow as nearly 1,000 flights are delayed or cancelled across Russia

Ukraine's latest tactic involves suspending kamikaze drones beneath high-altitude weather balloons, which transport the weapons toward their targets and release them to strike — an approach intended to defeat Russian air defences. Smoke was observed near Sheremetyevo's TZK fuel and lubricants depot, fuelling suspicion that a drone or downed munition had ignited a fire in nearby woodland. On Saturday, stranded passengers packed Sheremetyevo's terminals, with footage showing gridlocked queues throughout the airport.
Vnukovo Airport, used by Russian officials and VIPs, recorded 119 delays and ten cancellations; St Petersburg's Pulkovo suffered 138 disruptions.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed 11 drones heading for the capital were shot down, as residents near Nakhabino reported explosions.
Russian defence chiefs claimed to have destroyed 2,690 Ukrainian UAVs over a two-and-a-half-day period — a figure that signals the sheer scale of the assault.
