UN human rights experts have found reasonable grounds to believe the US committed war crimes in two strikes that killed at least 177 Iranian civilians, including 120 children at a primary school. The Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Iran told the UN Human Rights Council that February's Tomahawk missile strike on Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School in Minab, and a second strike on a sports complex in Lamerd, constituted indiscriminate attacks on civilian infrastructure. The US has previously denied striking Lamerd and said it is investigating Minab; it offered no immediate comment on Thursday's report.
The school in Minab was adjacent to an IRGC naval complex struck the same day, but experts found no evidence it was used for military purposes.
