US scraps G20 'family photo' in Atlanta after European allies including Britain refuse to stand beside Russia's Sergei Lavrov

Ed Miliband had already pushed for a separate allied photograph before Washington moved to scrap the group shot entirely, according to AP sources briefed on the Atlanta talks. The US cancelled plans for the traditional G20 foreign ministers' photo after multiple European partners refused to be pictured standing alongside Russia's Sergei Lavrov.
Miliband told MPs this week Britain does 'not engage in that way with the Russians' when asked whether he would shake hands with Lavrov.
