US congresswoman Ilhan Omar brings in Joe Biden's personal lawyer to fight immigration probe days after begging donors for cash

Amy Jeffress, who represented Biden over the autopen investigations, joins Joshua Matz, who represented House Democrats in both Trump impeachments. Both are partners at Washington firm Hecker Fink, and neither specialises in immigration law. A federal filing calls her 'Ilhan Nur Said Elmi', but Omar insists her real name is 'Ilhan Abdullahi Omar'. She denies wrongdoing and calls the probe politically motivated.

Border czar Tom Homan says Omar could be denaturalised and deported if fraud is proven.
