US Cornell gang-rape accuser is hunted with a $5,000 bounty online as an innocent graduate is suspended after doxxing

The online hunt began on X, where Aidan Thompson, 23, a user who regularly praises Hitler, wrote 'Please help me discover the Cornell girl'. Within hours another user offered $5,000 for the name and photos of Jane Doe, who sued Cornell alleging seven Chi Phi members raped her in October 2024. Within about a week, more than 11,000 accounts had made nearly 25,000 posts claiming to name her. The posts spread from X to Bluesky, 4chan, Telegram and Rumble.

All seven men deny wrongdoing, and none has been criminally charged.

A former student known only as B graduated before the party but was named in a viral TikTok list.

B was put on paid leave and said the fallout felt like 'a bomb went off'.
