US 'Dancing with the Stars' pro Val Chmerkovskiy is the FIRST dancer ever suspended after an Oscars slap jibe at a judge

Val Chmerkovskiy, 40, posted 'You almost saw Fresh Prince enter the ballroom last night' on TikTok after judge Carrie Ann Inaba criticised his wife Jenna Johnson's samba with Harry Shum Jr. He has since deleted the post. Producer BBC Studios called it 'inappropriate' and said staff well-being is 'non-negotiable'. He will sit out Tuesday's Dedication Night episode.

Inaba responded on Instagram: 'So this is what we're doing now?'

Chmerkovskiy says his 'instinct was to defend my wife' but admits 'bad judgment'.

His partner Jenna Dewan is expected to dance with Alan Bersten in his absence.
