US inmate convicted of murdering a co-worker is captured in Missouri nine days after escaping a Tennessee prison
Jacob Allen Morley, convicted of murdering a co-worker, was arrested in Missouri on Tuesday after nine days on the run, ending a multi-state manhunt that stretched across Tennessee, Illinois and Missouri. He had cut through a fence at the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville before stealing a white 2008 Ford F-350 from a nearby lot.
Morley's stolen truck was traced via surveillance footage to Marion, Illinois, where it was found abandoned behind a shopping centre.
A reward of $17,500 had been offered for information leading to his capture before Missouri State Highway Patrol made the arrest.
