US judge bars Trump from felling more trees at a Washington public golf course, and the president vows to appeal

Judge Ana Reyes on Monday issued a 70-page preliminary injunction covering East Potomac Golf Links beside the Potomac River. Trump called the ruling 'unconstitutional' on Truth Social and maintains the course will still close on November 15. The court is now requiring 10 days' notice before any 'irreparable modification' while the D.C. Preservation League's lawsuit moves forward.

More than 430 trees had already been felled this month, with the court given little warning beforehand.

Reyes: 'I am not the Lorax... It speaks only for the rule of law.'

Reyes said Justice Department lawyers told her she should not take the sitting President at his word.
