US judge rules Cornell gang rape accuser can stay anonymous and warns online harassers they could face prosecution

Judge Phaedra Perry-Bond cited 'compelling circumstances' and threats from 'malicious actors' in granting Jane Doe's request, which the defence did not oppose. She said the seven accused men should get the same protection. After Jane Doe's address was posted online, a fake emergency call sent armed police to her family home. Her lawyer, Thomas Giuffra, said: 'It's just constant fear.'

She alleges she was drugged with ketamine and gang-raped at Cornell's Chi Phi house in 2024.

All seven men deny wrongdoing, and none has been criminally charged.

President Donald Trump has weighed in, saying the accused men 'won't get a fair shake'.
