US judge rules Cornell rape accuser can stay anonymous after a hoax call sent armed police to her family's home

Her address was published online, and officers in full tactical gear drew assault rifles on her father, brother and a friend. Lawyer Thomas Giuffra says she relies on medication to sleep and is in trauma therapy. She is suing Cornell, the Chi Phi fraternity and seven men she accuses of drugging and gang-raping her in October 2024. All seven deny it, and none has been charged.

Giuffra on her life since the case went viral: 'It's just constant fear.'

Cornell first defended its disciplinary process, then admitted it had fallen short.

'I am Jane Doe' solidarity posts clashed with a separate online campaign to unmask her.
