US judge warns Trump of sanctions in $10bn BBC lawsuit after he snubbed BBC lawyers for Mar-a-Lago fundraiser

Magistrate Judge Enjoliqué A Lett said the court had already 'admonished' President Donald Trump for his 'lack of participation', to no avail. His legal team cancelled an agreed October deposition, citing 'matters of national importance'. That same day he reportedly flew to Mar-a-Lago for a fundraiser. A discovery hearing is due on Thursday to decide whether he will be compelled to testify.
Trump's team has claimed he has 'no availability whatsoever' before 18 December.
The suit targets a 'Panorama' edit splicing parts of his 6 January 2021 speech.
Trump's lawyers call the 'disgraced BBC' guilty of 'deceptively doctoring his speech'.
