US Southern Command launched a lethal strike Sunday against a go-fast boat moving along established Caribbean drug-trafficking routes, killing all four people aboard. Video circulating online captured the vessel engulfed in flames. Trump's yearlong military campaign against alleged narco-traffickers has now claimed more than 235 lives across 70 strikes.
Trump has declared the US to be in 'armed conflict' with Latin American cartels, casting the strikes as vital to reducing fatal drug overdoses on American soil.
Since the campaign began in September 2026, the Pentagon has withheld the names of those killed and offered no evidence that drugs were found on any of the targeted vessels.
