US mother Lindsay Clancy will testify she told her doctors of thoughts of killing her children, ex-husband's lawyer says

Patrick Clancy's attorney Howard Cooper told a Massachusetts court on Wednesday that Lindsay Clancy intends to testify she explicitly informed her medical providers she was having homicidal thoughts about her children — a claim that cuts directly against the doctors' defence. The civil wrongful death hearing is taking place a month after the mistrial in Lindsay's criminal murder trial over the January 2023 stranglings of Cora, five, Dawson, three, and Callan, eight months old. Prosecutors have separately filed a motion asking the judge to permit a retrial.
Lawyers for the doctors contended that Lindsay never revealed thoughts of harming her children to her providers — only to her mother and husband Patrick.
South Shore Health System and Aster Mental Health are seeking dismissal of the lawsuit, arguing that medical providers enjoy legal immunity.
Cooper said he could not 'imagine a more explicit threat', accusing the defendants of demanding impossible specificity about when and how any harm would occur.
