US raises its Kenya travel warning to Level 3 as the country's Ebola cases climb to nine

The newest patient caught the virus from Kenya's first case and tested positive while already in quarantine. Health officials have traced 135 contacts, and 134 of them are now isolated. The first patient was a man who travelled from Congo via Uganda and reached Nairobi on October 3. He died on October 5. The Bundibugyo strain kills up to half of those infected and has no vaccine.
Four of the dead man's relatives and four health workers have since tested positive.
The CDC counts 4,605 deaths across Africa, with an imported case also confirmed in France.
The first quarantined contacts are expected to be released on October 25 if they stay symptom-free.
