US senator Jon Husted says he must hit the gym to 'keep up my reputation' after Trump praised his rear

President Donald Trump doubled down on Sunday, claiming Jon Husted had risen in the polls 'after he said the A-word'. At a Youngstown rally, Trump told the crowd he had studied the Ohio Republican's backside and found 'a pile of muscle'. Husted, 59, a former University of Dayton football star, still trails Democrat Sherrod Brown by about three points. He told Fox News his wife is a marathon runner.

Trump also inspected Husted's hands, saying: 'He's got these, like, claws.'

A montage of Trump commenting on politicians' bodies was aired on television.
