Utah teen missing 17 months is found safe in Oregon as a 39-year-old man she allegedly met on Snapchat is arrested

Kylie Arellano, who disappeared from Garden City, Utah, in May 2025 at the age of 15, was found safe in Oregon on Sunday — more than 500 days after she went missing. Adam Harmel, 39, who allegedly connected with her on Snapchat before she vanished, was arrested without a struggle. Her mother Stephanie Coleman celebrated on Instagram, writing 'I brought you home baby girl!'

FBI Director Kash Patel used the announcement to issue a warning to so-called 'gore groups' — online networks that allegedly pressure and prey on minors.

Search warrants from earlier this year revealed investigators had suspicions about Coleman, with Arellano allegedly having claimed her mother choked her — an accusation Coleman denies.
