The news came in a 30-second Instagram clip posted on Friday by her daughter Kai Trump, 19, to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Vanessa Trump, 48, said she was first diagnosed in April and underwent surgery before going public on May 20. In June she said she was starting the second stage of her treatment. A longer YouTube video featuring Dr Nicole Saphier is due out on Saturday.

Ivanka Trump had written: 'Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.'
