Venezuelan billionaire landed a Trump pardon just weeks after his family handed the president's ex-lawyer Alina Habba a $50m job
Alina Habba and Donald Trump. Habba, now going by Alina Mildon, accepted a $10 million-a-year general counsel role at a Florida firm while still serving as US attorney in New Jersey, weeks before its founder's father…Julio Herrera Velutini, whose daughter Isabela Herrera set up the Florida firm Concord Partners in October 2025 and had already donated $3.5 million to a pro-Trump super PAC.
Julio Herrera Velutini's family offered Alina Habba $10 million a year for four years, plus bonuses, to be general counsel at Concord Partners. Habba sealed the deal while still serving as US attorney in New Jersey. The Florida firm, set up by his daughter Isabela Herrera in October 2025, has no public profile. Habba, now Alina Mildon, called any pardon link 'false and defamatory'.
Herrera faced felony charges over an alleged plot to bribe Puerto Rico's governor.
His daughter had already given $3.5 million to a pro-Trump super PAC.
Mildon mocked the claims on X: 'Big Scoop... being a lawyer.'
