Vic Reeves sparked serious alarm among fellow guests after he collapsed on the dancefloor at a friend's wedding at the Hotel du Vin in Poole, Dorset, and was wheeled out by paramedics. His representative confirmed he was checked over and given a clean bill of health, and days later he was photographed on stage in Margate with The Wonderstuff.

A witness said the mood shifted 'from lots of laughter to serious concern pretty fast' after the 67-year-old appeared to have overexerted himself.

Reeves, real name Jim Moir, has a benign brain tumour called a vestibular schwannoma that has left him permanently deaf in his left ear.

He posted cheerfully on social media after the scare, saying: 'Lovely night last night in Margate doing Dizzy 35 years on with my old friends The Wonderstuff.'
