Video shows a man punching a Jewish woman pushing a pram as three women are attacked in Stamford Hill

The attacker jogs down Upper Clapton Road in Hackney, throws two punches at her head, then runs off with bystanders giving chase. Shomrim volunteers reached the scene within 30 seconds of a call and witnessed a second woman being assaulted. They detained a 33-year-old man until police arrived; officers arrested him on suspicion of racially aggravated common assault. The victims say they were targeted because they were Jewish.

The Met has logged the attacks as a suspected antisemitic hate crime and has stepped up patrols.

The suspect was further arrested over a separate grievous bodily harm attack in Islington.

Ch Insp Erica Crawshaw called it 'an alarming and distressing incident'.
