Vincent Kompany is taken to hospital after collapsing at Bayern training, two days after admitting he ignored his body
The 40-year-old went down on Friday while watching Bayern Munich's reserve team train at the Sabener Strasse base, and a rescue helicopter reportedly landed at the complex. He had been battling a viral infection that hit his legs and left him struggling on stairs. His coaching staff will run training and matches until further notice. Sporting director Max Eberl said Vincent Kompany's health was the club's 'highest priority'.
After Wednesday's game Kompany said his body had told him: 'Stop now, man!'
He was still in the dugout for Bayern's 2-2 Champions League draw with Arsenal.
Kompany had already missed Tuesday's training session and press conference through illness.
