Speaking on 'The Louis Theroux Podcast', Vinnie Jones, 61, admitted the pair 'drifted apart through the booze' after he made demands on the call. Guy Ritchie, 58, replied 'Really?' very calmly, then went silent for years. Jones believes the director only rang again once he had been sober for about ten years. Ritchie then cast him as gamekeeper Geoff Seacombe in Netflix's 'The Gentlemen'.

Ritchie directed Jones's acting debut in 'Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels' in 1998.

Jones admitted he 'missed out on a lot' after snubbing the 2008 film.

'We are brothers,' Jones said, though the pair have never discussed the rift.
