A knife was 'seen or intimated' in a fifth of West End watch robberies over six months, with 97 raids by June and 70 more by September. The figures emerged as three men were jailed for cutting a £137,000 Richard Mille from designer Catalin Botezatu's wrist in Berkeley Square. Ringleader Younes Djoudi, 34, got five years and nine months. Judge Dafna Spiro called it 'a blight on our city'.

Botezatu had undergone major heart cancer surgery and feared for his life.

Djoudi is Algerian, while jury-convicted
