Vivek Ramaswamy doubles down on attack ad using Amy Acton's estranged mother while his Ohio odds hit a record low

Ramaswamy's campaign has now confirmed it made the minute-long spot, which first surfaced online on Monday night without a 'paid for' tag. Campaign manager Jonathan Ewing called it 'a campaign-ending moment for Amy Acton.' In the ad, Donna Arthur says her daughter has 'lied her entire life.' Acton says she was sexually abused by Arthur's husband as a child while her mother 'did nothing to protect me.'

Records show stepfather Cledith Arthur was charged in 1978 with raping Acton, aged 12.

Brother Philip Stearns says their mother 'stayed married to Amy's rapist until he died.'

Meghan McCain called it a 'dastardly ad' that 'never should have been created.'
