'We've got four little kids': US Vice President JD Vance says there's a chance he won't run in 2028
Vance, 42, told a CBS town hall in Michigan that his wife Usha 'has never loved politics'. He called himself a 'procrastinator' on big life decisions. He will not decide on a White House bid until after next month's midterms. The wobble comes as an NBC poll finds 71 per cent of adults think the US is on the 'wrong track', and only 28 per cent say Trump's policies help the country.
Trump has named Vance his 'most likely' Republican successor.
Vance leads Marco Rubio by 15 points in the polling average, on 39 per cent.
'You know, anything can happen, man,' Vance told the audience.
