Bemused sheep watched on as Cerdin Jones, 53, used the lifting arms of his Massey Ferguson tractor to hoist neighbour Anwen Hughes' Fiat Fullback and haul it 20 yards down a narrow Ceredigion lane. The makeshift removal, caught on video, caused over £5,000 in damage and wrote the truck off entirely. Jones was found guilty of criminal damage at Aberystwyth Magistrates' Court and handed a fine, a restraining order, and ordered to pay £650 in costs plus a £150 surcharge.
The lane in Llanarth, Ceredigion was owned by Hughes, though Jones held a right of way to reach his own farmland.
The restraining order bars Jones from entering Hughes' farm or accessing the lane where he staged his tractor removal.
