Keegan Allen, 37, was beaten and robbed by two masked men outside the Laurel Supply store on Santa Monica Boulevard at around 9:05pm on Thursday, left with blood streaming down his face and neck. He posted a graphic Instagram video moments after the attack and publicly challenged Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass and California governor Gavin Newsom to use the state's surveillance camera network to catch the suspects. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed deputies are investigating after one attacker held Allen at knifepoint while the other pressed a silver handgun to his face before pistol-whipping him twice and snatching his Rolex.

Allen told his 8.2 million Instagram followers: 'They threatened to KILL me over my watch and would have — God said no tonight.'

Bass's office called the attack 'egregious' but noted West Hollywood falls under the Sheriff's jurisdiction, not the LAPD's.

Allen later confirmed to a follower he was 'definitely concussed' and had gone to hospital for treatment.
