Officers pulled over 104 vehicles across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire during October and impounded 26 of them, with delivery services singled out as a sector vulnerable to exploitation under Operation Lockstream, a national initiative. Safer Neighbourhood Teams and Roads Policing officers worked with partner agencies, issuing around £6,800 in fines and 28 traffic offence reports, according to a report on the force's website.

Intelligence gathered will 'build a clearer picture of organised criminal networks', says Detective Sergeant Laura Hutson.

Officers pursued a dual aim, disrupting criminals while safeguarding people at risk of exploitation across all three counties.

Enforcement will continue beyond October, Detective Sergeant Laura Hutson pledged, targeting those who exploit vulnerable people.
