Whalefall's sperm whale could technically swallow a diver whole, but no whale has ever been known to do it

Lobster diver Michael Packard came closest when a humpback scooped him up off Cape Cod, Massachusetts, in June 2021. It spat him out after what he estimated was 30 to 40 seconds, and he never got past its mouth. Director Brian Duffield calls his film 'the opposite of Jaws'. The only animal on record swallowing people whole is the reticulated python.
Anatomist Joy Reidenberg: 'There's no way a human could be swallowed' by a fin whale.
An adult fin whale gulps 60 to 82 cubic metres of water in one lunge.
