'Oh God, I can't bear it': Dame Judi Dench brands her Cats film a 'waste of goodwill and talent' in memoir
Dame Judi Dench, 91, reveals in her new memoir that she never watched the finished version of the 2019 flop, in which she played Old Deuteronomy. She describes feeling 'ill at ease from the beginning' in the role, and was also troubled by how exhausted young dancers were 'completely ignored' after each take. Her memoir, 'Is It Too Late to Make a Run for It?', is out on 3 November.
She once said her orange fur coat looked like 'five foxes fucking on my back'.
Andrew Lloyd Webber has called the film 'off-the-scale all wrong'.
Cats won six Razzies, and Rebel Wilson beat Dench for Worst Supporting Actress.
