Andrew Feinberg learned on Wednesday evening that he would 'not be the print pooler' on President Donald Trump's Thursday trip to a campaign rally in Sioux City, Iowa — a slot that had been confirmed days before. Jacqui Heinrich, a Fox News reporter and president of the correspondents' association, described the move as 'retaliation'. The White House maintains that no journalist has a 'constitutional right' to access Air Force One.

Feinberg had questioned Trump about his planned golf course at East Potomac Park in Washington.

A White House account applied a disability slur to him, and JD Vance called him an 'imbecile'.

The Independent joins at least two other outlets that have been removed from Air Force One in recent weeks.
