Wife tells jury she hid in the bathroom after her ex-Tory councillor husband let a stranger into their bedroom

Joanne Young, 49, a mother of three from Swindon, told Winchester Crown Court she had been drugged and restrained repeatedly over 13 years by her ex-husband Philip Young, 50, a former Conservative councillor, while he invited strangers to abuse her. Philip Young has already pleaded guilty to almost 50 sex offences against his wife. Four men he allegedly recruited are now on trial.
Philip Young advertised his wife on Craigslist, Grindr and swinging websites, posting photos of her 'inanimate and tied to the bed blindfolded'.
Joanne Young said she was 'emphatically monogamous' with 'vanilla' tastes and would 'never, ever' have consented to the abuse.
The four men on trial — Norman Macksoni, 48, Richard Wilkins, 62, Connor Sanderson-Doyle, 32, and Mohammed Hassan, 38 — all deny the charges against them.
