William and Kate share an unseen family photo from her Three Peaks Challenge to thank mountain rescue volunteers

The picture shows Prince William, Kate and Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at the foot of Yr Wyddfa, or Snowdon, surrounded by the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team. Llanberis is the busiest mountain rescue unit in the UK. The caption was signed 'W & C'. The day falls when the clocks go back, to remind walkers to carry kit such as a torch.

Prince William is Royal Patron of Mountain Rescue England and Wales.

Kate climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours in June.

She raised money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the hospital that treated her.
